“You’re going to see his full Mussolini coming out with his pen and his phone,” he told Sean Hannity Tuesday. Worse yet, Levin warned, Obama’s going to do everything he can “to further screw up the country.”
It’s a question that needs an answer. On Friday, I reported here that Jonathan Turley — a LIBERAL Constitutional law professor — warned Congress that Obama is set to become a government all unto himself if Congress doesn’t take action. In short, he is working to become a dictator right before our very eyes. And Democrats are cheering him on.
It’s only the umpteenth warning we’ve been given, and still, Republicans sit on their collective thumbs doing what, exactly? Where are the articles of impeachment? Where is the legislation undoing Obama’s executive actions? So far, all we’ve heard is a lot of sound and fury, but we’ve seen no action at all.
On Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, posted what he called “The Legal Limit Report No. 4,” a document that delves into what the Daily Caller called “little-known and little-reported details of President Obama’s executive actions.”
“Of all the troubling aspects of the Obama presidency, none is more dangerous than the President’s persistent pattern of lawlessness, his willingness to disregard the written law and instead enforce his own policies via executive fiat,” he said in the introductory remarks.
“The debate over repealing this law is over, the Affordable Care Act is here to stay,” he said.
While watching Barack Obama repeatedly declare that he has a pen and a phone and will rule by executive fiat whenever and wherever he can because he’s the president, I realized something: We’ve elected Judge Dredd.
For those who may not be familiar with the reference, Judge Joseph Dredd is the character played by Sylvester Stallone in the 1995 movie who unilaterally dispenses justice with a very heavy dose of gunfire. His signature line: “I am the LAW!!”
Tonight starting at 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific, President Barack “I am the Law” Obama will deliver his 2014 State of the Coup, er, Union speech.
On Thursday, Senate Democrats violated a century-old rule to pass what has been called the “nuclear option,” turning the Democrat-controlled Senate into a rubber-stamp for Barack Obama’s judicial and executive appointments.
Obama was happy with the rule change, but he didn’t always support it. In fact, while serving at the junior Senator from Illinois, he spoke out against it.
According to the description, the panel touched on a number of subjects:
While participating in a Google Hangout, Obama was asked about his administration deporting “record numbers” of illegal immigrants during his first term.
GOP Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) isn’t the only one who says Obama should be impeached if he implements gun control through executive orders.
On Monday, former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese said that Obama could be impeached if he attempts to override the Second Amendment through executive orders.
