And the hits just come on coming on the team name/mascot front! This time, the injury appears to be self-inflicted. According to Fox News, Maranatha Baptist University, a Christian college in Watertown, Wisc., made the decision internally to eschew its moniker, the “Crusaders,” after nearly 50 years. The reason given by university officials? To better fit in with a “more global society.”
Matt Davis, the university’s executive vice president, said no complaints have been received by the school and stressed that it [the team name change] coincides with its [the school’s] name change from Maranatha Baptist College in December.
On Thursday, seventeen former senior members of the U.S. intelligence and defense communities released the open letter to President Obama that was promised on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, the Center for Security Policy announced to the Paulding County Republican Examiner through email notification.

Call it the kind of “fundamental transformation” that could only happen in Obama’s America.
A report published Wednesday at ABC News says that al Qaeda terrorists are living in America. Not only that, but two of them lived in public housing across from a bus stop in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and even collected taxpayer-funded assistance.
Obama has been telling us that he is only dealing with the moderate rebels in Syria. He might be right if you consider Gonorrhea as a moderate STD as compared to AIDS. The truth is, the fighters we are supporting are Muslim Brotherhood types.
The Germans intercepted numerous messages from Assad’s generals, asking to use sarin gas and Assad refused every one of them. The more evidence we see, the more apparent that the Muslim in Chief loves to lie.
Gerhard Schindler, told German lawmakeers last week, that they had intercepted many messages to the presidential palace in Damascus, asking for permission to use sarin gas, all of which Assad refused. This is a direct contradiction of the White House talking memos that claimed we had proof positive that Assad was behind the attacks.Gerhard Schindler is the head of the German Foreign Intelligence agency. Schindler, expressly told lawmakers that Assad did not order, nor did he approve of using sarin gas.
While President Obama has intentions of launching air-strikes in Syria against the Syrian government and army, with or without Congress’s approval, questions are being raised about who Obama is supporting.
On Saturday, Frank Aquila, author of the book, “Sarah Palin Out of Nowhere,” wrote a brief editorial that Obama is putting America on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda in Syria, without regards to the truth, just as he did in Egypt and Libya. Continue reading →
For a long time, Congress has wondered why the investigators sent to Benghazi couldn’t name and locate the suspects who killed Ambassador Stevens. In such a poor country, money can make lips loose. It seemed strange we had made no progress. Now we know they were able to both name and locate the suspects and they were given what amounts to a “Stand down” order.
When Obama first announced the embassy closings on August fifth, I was immediately suspicious and I wrote a column in which I said I didn’t believe the story from the WH. When I posted it to Facebook, I asked if it was wag the dog, since just two days before we learned that we may well have been running arms through Benghazi to Syria. It looks like I may have been correct.
