On Monday, Fox News reported that millions of low-income Americans are without healthcare insurance due a gap in Obamacare coverage.

The low-income Americans, numbering about five million, are caught in the coverage gap because they do not make enough to qualify for government subsidies, but make too much to qualify for state Medicaid programs.

Melissa Francis, host of Money with the Fox Business Network revealed an example of a 57-year-old barber in Alabama who makes $200 a week, about $10,000 a year.

Francis said, “He is a diabetic, he makes $200 a week, so he makes about ten thousand dollars a year, a little more than that per year…but he can’t buy some sort of coverage without assistance and he doesn’t qualify for any. If he made a thousand dollars more a year, he would qualify for a federal subsidy.”

“And these are these folks, and there’s a lot of them, that are left out in the cold.”

Last week, a report released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) stated that President Barack Obama’s health insurance law (Obamacare) will result in a bigger reduction in working hours and a loss of 2.5 million full-time jobs.

While President Obama has stated once again that he will not negotiate with House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday, David Stockman, former director of the Office of Management and Budget in the Reagan Administration, former member of Congress, and author of “The Great Deformation” said Obamacare is the worst law passed in four decades and must be halted.

When Obamacare was passed, it began the largest takeover by the government of any service of its kind and at the time, healthcare costs was a factor and yet, four years later, Obamacare still does not solve rising healthcare costs.

When Yahoo news asked Stockman on Friday as to why Obamacare should be repealed, Stockman replied, “It is the worst law ever passed in the last four decades by the federal government,” Stockman argues. “It is a massive entitlement to end all entitlements. It is going to cause a fiscal hemorrhage, which is not even yet anticipated. It will tie up one-sixth of GDP in the most monstrous, massive, bureaucratic snarl that you can’t imagine. So therefore this needs to be stopped before it becomes operational.”

Egyptian court recommends dissolving Muslim Brotherhood

Muslim-Brotherhood-Egypt

The very existence of the Muslim Brotherhood, threatens Egypt, not only at the present time but on into the future.  It appears that the Egyptian government has reached the same conclusion.  This is the first required step to that end.  Although this vote is not binding, it makes it possible for the top court to hear arguments and banish the Muslim Brotherhood.

In Egypt, a judicial official has announced that a panel of judges have recommended the dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood.  The decision is nonbinding, but brings the Muslim Brotherhood one step closer to being eliminated.  Their  legitimacy was questioned even before the ousting of Mohamed Morsi as president.  The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 and spent most of that time being banned in Egypt.  They were able to survive by creating and operating widespread social networks.
