Obama: Continuing to compound his own failures with lies and distortions

obama-stink-2-550x393Something — some unseen force — has kept President Obama’s approval ratings from seeking their natural rock-bottom level. This is not to say that his polling numbers have been good; anything but. After hitting a nadir of 40% in December 2013, his Real Clear Politics average has been idling in the low 40s ever since.

But at the risk of being called a racist (which anyone who doesn’t sing daily hosannas to be Obama is called anyway), I will posit that if he were anyone else, his approval numbers would be a good ten points lower. The level of sheer incompetence betrayed by the administration’s rollout of Healthcare.gov and continually escalating problems with Obamacare, the VA scandal (or non-scandal if you’re Nancy Pelosi), and — the final triumph — the outing of a CIA station chief (which vastly outplames Valerie Plame, a desk jockey) would be enough to unseat most leaders.

Hypocrisy: Chart reveals a number of Democrats took Koch brothers money

schumer-kochDemocrats, it seems, are masters of two things: Demagoguery and hypocrisy.

Consider: They would have us believe the Koch brothers are directly related to the Devil, and have no problem blaming all the evils of the world on them.  But guess what?  It turns out a number of Democrats, including Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Dianne Feinstein, Mark Pryor and Chuck Schumer, all took money from the Koch brothers over the last five election cycles, Truth Revolt said Monday.

Tennesee Democratic Party Chairman calls state gun bill ‘Wild West’ legislation

Wild West showdownThe Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

These words have long sparked considerable debate between pro-Second Amendment supporters and gun control proponents, otherwise known as anti-gunners by some. Many believe in the individual’s constitutional right to own a firearm for personal protection.

Poll: Less than half of Democrats know Earth orbits the sun

DunceLiberal Democrats love to say Republicans and Tea Party conservatives are stupid, but it turns out that less than half of Democrats know the Earth orbits the sun.  Seriously.

According to a 2012 study done by Northwestern University, only 48% of Democrats know the Earth orbits the sun and understand that it takes a year for it to do so.

Playing devil’s advocate

boehner1“He gave the president exactly what he wanted, which is exactly what the Republican Party said we did not want.” – Rep. Tim Huelskamp R-Kansas

Some traitors are obvious…the names Barack HUSSEIN Obama and Hillary Clinton just roll off the tongue…but sadly some traitors cause one to sigh in total disillusionment…and Speaker of the House John Boehner is one such man…or is he. Continue reading

The State Dept. has spoken: Keystone pipeline will not increase carbon emissions

Keystone pipeline protestsRemember Democrats? They’re the “party of science.” Their spiritual leader reaffirmed their embrace of scientific method in his State of the Union last Tuesday, when he declared (to applause from his base) that “the debate is settled. Climate change is a fact.”

So, it now appears, is the assertion that the Keystone XL pipeline will not increase carbon emissions. The claim has been made before, by numerous scientists, but now the assurance comes from the president’s own administration. On Friday, his State Department released a report of its final environmental impact study, and it’s all systems go.

Democrats raise fear of Obama impeachment in new email

Obama returns to campaign trail to sell his fiscal cliff solutionIn August of this year, the National Review’s Andrew McCarthy published an article on the subject of why talk of impeachment was far from crazy. The same month, New York Times bestselling authors Aaron Klein and Brenda Elliott came out with a book titled “Impeachable Offenses: The Case for Removing Barack Obama from Office.” A poll conducted by Wenzel Strategies found that a majority of respondents thought the IRS scandal was grounds for impeaching the president.

Stories of consumers losing their healthcare plans are numerous and growing and now comes news that ardent two President Obama supporters, both husband and wife are now losing their Kaiser healthcare plan because of Obamacare, ProPublica reported on Wednesday.

They like millions of consumers listened to President Obama when he said on numerous occasions since 2009 that consumers would be able to keep the plans and their doctors but as the weeks progress, those promises have turned out not to be true.

McAuliffe robocalls falsely claim Ken Cuccinelli supports Obamacare, taxpayer funding of abortion

ken_cuccinelli_04Forget all the talk of Terry McAuliffe cruising to an easy victory in Virginia.  It seems Democrats in that state are so nervous they’ve taken to issuing robocalls falsely claiming Ken Cuccinelli supports Obamacare and taxpayer-funded abortion.  This despite the fact that Cuccinelli was the first to file a lawsuit against the massive law.

According to a post at the Washington Free Beacon, the recording claims to be paid for by the Democratic Party of Virginia.

Obamacare plus sequestration equals disaster for low-income families

When Worlds CollideObama’s vaunted health care reform just sprung another leak, this one adversely impacting one of his MFC (Most Favored Classes): lower-income Americans. Like so much else that has gone wrong with the implementation of Obamacare, this problem was avoidable — and likely would have been avoided by a more capable leader.

This latest snafu involves two competing laws, both of which have been around long enough for a reasonably astute observer to have anticipated their eventual collision. In this corner we have the Affordable Care Law. And in this corner we have the Budget Control Act of 2011. The latter, you may recall, was signed into law by Obama on Aug. 2 of that year and provided that — in the event Congress and the president were unable to agree on a budget — automatic across-the-board spending cuts (aka sequestration) would kick in.
