Philadelphia Policeman denied access to bathroom at Starbucks

Chestnut-StarbucksPhiladelphia, PA – A local controversy developed after a Philadelphia policeman was denied the use of the bathroom at Starbucks at 1301 Chestnut.  Apparently you have to ask for a key code to get in the bathroom at a Starbucks in certain big cities…which in and of itself is another sad commentary on the state of America.

The saga

The officer posted his frustration on Facebook, and a fellow officer posted it on the Starbuck’s Facebook page where it went nearly viral … shared 17,600 times.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Starbucks has apologized to the officer in question, stating that the officer’s  “experience was not consistent with the welcoming and friendly environment we strive to create for everyone.” It seems when liberals run your organization, apologies are all you need to do. But there is an intolerant bottom line at the company- and it trickles down hill from the CEO.

The CEO of Starbucks, Howard Schultz,  told a shareholder who was in favor of traditional marriage in 2013 that he had no tolerance for it and they could sell their shares and invest in some other company. He actually said “We don’t want your business.” He also told customers that “if you have a gun we don’t want your business.”

Is it any wonder someone treated a uniformed officer poorly? Schultz is a white guy, but I’ll bet he supports hatred of police too – like all good little liberals.

“The police go to this location because of vagrants using their bathroom, but they wont let a uniformed, working policeman use the bathroom? Starbucks shame on you!”

“What a terrible thing to do to a police officer who just needed to use your restroom. I hope no one ever treats you this poorly by loudly belittling you in public. I also hope that the next time you need the police for anything, you remember how you treated this person.”

“Treat your public servants better. They could save your life one day.”

“How can you people deny an officer of the law to use your bathroom???? Your employee that did that is ignorant and heartless!!!! Now when u get rob who you gonna call??? The POLICE YOU WOULDN’T LET USE YOUR BATHROOM!!!!”

“You should absolutely be ashamed of yourselves. I will NEVER give Starbucks my business again.”

Cope Haters (+3 likes each)

“Of course the police didn’t get their way so they resorted to bullying tactics.”

“Hopefully, this officer is suspended without pay! Stereotype much…young blonde liberal? Embellish much…please name the cop killer she praised as you walked out the door? Passively threaten much, “…this store is a frequent caller to police…”? The police officer oath requires you to protect and serve ALL. After this post, do you think the other uninvolved employees of Starbucks are confident that the Philly PD will arrive in a timely manner next time they are summoned? Don’t think so! All you’ve done with this post is enforce what some in the public already believe; the abuse of police power via lies, threats, and stereotypes must stop. Whether you like it or not, Starbucks is in the coffee business. They are not a supplier of public restrooms for public servants. Let’s just be thankful it was a lack of thought before hitting the send button instead of pulling the trigger!”

And there, in a nutshell (emphasis on the nut part), is what is wrong in America today.
