Slavitt ran a medical data company called Ingenix, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Health Group, the largest holder of healthcare insurance in America.  Slavitt’s company doctored the reimbursement rates of out-of-network services.  Andrew Cuomo, who was then New York Attorney General, determined that Ingenix defrauded 110 million Americans out of hundreds of millions of dollars.
