Mexico Joins Lawsuit Over Texas’ Refusal to Give Birth Certificates to Illegal Aliens

color-anchor-babies-webMexico has added a 19 page amicus (Friend of the court) brief to a lawsuit against Texas for their refusal to issue birth certificates to illegal aliens.

What makes this so funny and at the same time infuriating is that Mexico does not recognize anchor babies themselves.  What right does a foreign government have to interfere in a case involving another country’s sovereignty?

And if they love these illegals so much, why don’t they take them back?  Texas does not recognize anchor babies because the 14th Amendment, when it was passed, excluded children of foreigners from citizenship.

First, let us examine the language of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
