It seems liberals aren’t too happy with Ben Carson, who recently said that being gay is a choice. Gay sex columnist Dan Savage, well-known for his inflammatory rhetoric, demanded the neurosurgeon and potential GOP candidate for president perform oral sex on him.
Seriously. Here’s his tweet:

And on it goes.
Not everyone was impressed, however, and let their feelings be known.
According to Savage, some lashed out against him:
“You sir- are the hater,” said a person identified only as “John.”
Savage replied:
I don’t hate anyone, honestly, with the possible exceptions of Vladimir Putin, the House of Saud, and people who install television sets in the backs of cabs. Also, too: I am Catholic myself, culturally, and I have a sense of humor about the church, my church, and its recent troubles/appalling crimes. That’s not hate. And I’m not trying to make it illegal for anyone else to marry or adopt or do brain surgery or run for president.
Except for maybe every registered Republican. As we reported in 2011, Savage told Bill Maher he wished every Republican was “f*****g dead.” No hate there, right, Dan?
Newsbusters’ Kristine Marsh noted:
It seems election cycle time is Savage’s favorite time to amp up the vile insults thrown at the right. In 2012, Savage received a lot of attention from the media for equating Rick Santorum’s name with a lewd sexual joke.
Savage’s ugly jabs at conservatives and Christians are largely ignored by the media, and you know if a conservative or Christian had made a comment half as bad as any one of his, the comment would make headline news on every mainstream media news site.
