One of the most controversial aspects of the new budget deal is the fact it will cut pensions for servicemen. In order to restore the pensions, the Republicans proposed closing a loophole, where illegal aliens can get tax refunds for children, even if they live in another country. The IRS estimates this costing 4.2 billion a year, enough to restore the pensions. But, predictably, the democrats sided with those breaking the law against the military they loathe.
