Cuomo Gives NY fast Food Workers 15 Bucks an Hour

wendysA panel appointed by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) has decided that the brain surgeons in the fast food industry will receive raises to fifteen dollars an hour if it is approved by a appointee, meaning it’s a slam dunk.

It also means that the higher minimum wage was approved without any elected official in New York state voting on the measure.  The question that needs to be asked is why just fast food?  And why not until 2018 in New York City and the rest of the state in 2021?

Unions.  You see, in New York, like other cities and states that have enacted larger minimum wages, companies with unions are exempt.  This is extortion.  You want to avoid paying fifteen bucks an hour and raising all other management employees to keep the gap in those salaries, fast food joints might be receptive to bringing a union in.  Many other lower paying jobs like janitors, elevator operators and maids make much less than $15.00 an hour but they are already unionized.
